W.J. Kirkpatrick

A Native Son of the Golden West, was born at San Francisco, January 21,
1865. When nine years of age he moved with his parents to San Jose, and
completed his education in the public school of his city, after which he
learned the carpenter's trade. Three years ago Mr. Kirkpatrick opened his
stationery and book-store on the southeast corner of First and San Antonio
streets, where he has been very successful. He carries a full line of
stationary, current publications, and makes a specialty of school supplies.

Mr. Kirkpatrick is a Republican and a active politician. He was a delegate
from Santa Clara county to the convention which nominated Governor Markham
and his associates, and at all times takes great interest in the work of
his part. He is a member of Palo Alto Parlor, No. 82, N.S.G.W., unmarried,
genial in disposition, and much esteemed by a large circle of friends in
San Jose.
