THE STORY OF THEIR SUCCESS.

------------------
J.G. Munson

The subject of this sketch, a popular young druggist doing business in a
commodious store on South First street in the Safe Deposit Block, was born
some thirty years ago at Pine Grove, Sierra county, California. After
completing, his education in the common school he took his course in the
College of Pharmacy of the University of California, graduating with
honors. For fifteen years, Mr. Munson has been engaged in the drug
business, and the fact of his having served his apprenticeship under so
well-known and competent a man as Prof. W.M. Searby of San Francisco is
sufficient recommendation in itself that he is a thoroughly posted
druggist. He is one of the few graduates of pharmacy in our city. He began
business at his present location over three years ago, and his marriage to
Miss E.S. Williams, a well-known San Jose young lady, last October, is an
indication of prosperity in his business, and of the fact that he has come
here to stay. Mr. Munson is a member of Observatory parlor No. 177, Native
Sons.
