Dr. D.F. McGraw

One of San Jose's most skillful dentists, is a native of Illinois. He was
born near Chicago on the 19th day of February, 1857, and when 8 years of
age removed with his parents to Mankato, Minnesota, where he gained his
education in the High and Normal schools. He commenced the study of his
profession when only 18 years of age, graduating and beginning to practice
three years later. In 1880 Dr. McGraw was married to Miss E.L. Payne, the
oldest daughter of C.A. Payne, a well-known resident of San Jose in recent
years, and whose death occurred but two weeks ago. In 1889 the doctor moved
with his family to San Jose and commenced here the practice of his
profession, his skill soon placing him in the foremost ranks. Careful and
delicate in his treatment, thoroughly competent in all departments of
dentistry, Dr. McGraw successfully undertakes the most difficult
operations. His unusually handsome offices, operating-rooms and laboratory
are located in the K.G. Block, 34, and 36 South First street.
