REMEMBERING DINAH'S SHACK-PALO ALTO
(now Trader Vic's)
What a Great Place to eat and meet your friends and neighbors.
During
1928 over 200,000 were served and 111,882 milk fed chickens were
consumed; 20 tons of Crisco were used to fry them; 196,060 biscuits
(the bake shop used over 200 barrels of Sperry Flour) 120,360 cups
individually percolated S & W "Mell-ow-ed" coffee, 39,338
combination salads, 118,636 portions of French fried potatoes, and 14,
403 strawberry shortcakes during season were enjoyed by satisfied
guests. The kitchen, a model of neatness , is open for inspection
at all times. A personnel and staff of 50 express the uniform
courteous service that has necessitated increasing the seating capacity
to 204 at the Palo Alto Dinah's Shack.
